Vetoryl 10mg capsules for dogs are used to treat pituitary-dependent and adrenal-dependent hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing Disease and Syndrome). Canine Cushing disease is caused when too much Cortisol (a steroid hormone) is being produced. Vetoryl 10mg works by reducing the levels of these steroids created naturally in the adrenal cortex.

Vetoryl 10mg capsules contain 10mg of the active ingredient Trilostane. Trilostane actively blocks the cortisol production pathway within the body. Cortisol is responsible for the 'fight or flight' response in dogs. Vetoryl 10mg capsules still allow the body to produce the amount of Cortisol that is needed but stops the body from overproducing it.

Vetoryl 10mg are a small black and ivory capsule with the strength printed on the body of the capsule. Vetoryl is usually given once daily in the morning with food, however you should always follow the instructions of your veterinary surgeon.

Vetoryl is also available as a 30mg, 60mg and 120mg capsule to suite different sizes and breeds of dog.
