Apoquel is available as a 16mg, 5.4mg and 3.6mg tablet to suit different sizes and breeds of dog.
Apoquel 16mg tablets are used in the treatment of allergic dermatitis (skin allergies) in dogs.
Apoquel is available to order as single tablets or packs of 100. These tablets contain 16mg of the active ingredient oclacitinib, this ingredient helps to control allergic dermatitis and improve many of the signs associated with skin disease caused by fleas, contact, food allergies and other allergies. Symptoms which you may see in your dog include pruritis (itching), skin redness, skin irritation and hair loss.
Apoquel 16mg tablets help to reduce the itch-scratch cycle associated with skin disease; improving your dog’s skin and making them feel much more comfortable. Usually these tablets will start to work rapidly, so in many cases you should see an improvement in your dog’s clinical signs within 1-2 days.
Apoquel tablets are small and easy to give; they can be given with or without food.
It is often recommended to use skin supplements and soothing shampoos alongside Apoquel. All of these products can be found in the ‘Skin Supplement and Shampoo’ section of our website.
