Royal Canin Vet Diet Cat Food: Renal Wet

Royal Canin Renal is a complete dietetic feed for cats, formulated to support renal function in the case of chronic or temporary renal insufficiency.

It is available in Beef, Chicken and Tuna 48 x 85g pouches and 12 x 195g loaf tins.

Key benefits of Renal Cat Food:
- CKD dietary management - formulated to support renal function in case of chronic kidney disease. Contains EPA and DHA, a complex of antioxidants and a low phosphorus level
- Reduces renal workload - increased kidney workload may induce uremic crisis. Anadapted content of high quality protein helps reduce kidney workload
- Metabolic equilibrium - chronic kidney disease can lead to metabolic acidosis. Formulated with alkalinizing agents
- Appetite preference - designed aromatic profile helps answer to cat's specific preference.

It is recommended that a veterinarian's opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use. Initially feed RENAL for up to 6 months in cases of chronic renal insufficiency and reduction of oxalate stone formation. For cases of temporary renal insufficiency a period of 2 to 4 weeks feeding is recommended.

About Renal Cat Food: Renal cat food could mean a huge improvement in the quality of life for your cat. Cats with kidney problems can be disinterested in eating but renal cat food has been especially formulated by nutritionists at Royal Canin to be incredibly palatable for cats, tempting them to feed. The nutritionists have also ensured that even a small amount of renal cat food can give your pet a huge boost, with high-energy density providing sufficient calorie intake in smaller portions.
Renal cat food cuts down the amount of work a cat's kidneys have to do, with added Omega 3 fatty acids and anti-oxidants that support the kidneys in their work, renal cat food can also reduce the toxic build-up of materials that could otherwise make your cat poorly.

Does my cat need renal cat food? Your cat may have a kidney problem if they a showing some of these: Weight loss, vomiting, diarrhoea, poor hair/coat, loss of appetite, drinking more/urinating more. Speak to your vet if you think your cat may be suffering from a problem with their kidneys and they will advise you on what treatment will be best for you and your cat.

InfoPLEASE NOTE: Some pet food tins are made from very thin metal, so we package them carefully for shipping. However the odd tin can get a little dented during transit. In the majority of cases this is simply cosmetic damage and the contents are unaffected. If you see a dented tin on delivery, just give it a quick once over and if you can't see any leaks the can's unpunctured - the food will be fine. If a can has leaked or is punctured get in touch via email at info@petprescription.co.uk
