Frontline Spot On for dogs is used in the treatment and prevention of flea, biting lice and tick infestations.
The active ingredient in Frontline Spot On for dogs is Fipronil, which kills 98-100% of fleas in 24 hours and controls biting lice and ticks in 48 hours. It also prevents further tick infestations for up to four weeks and flea infestations for up to two months.
One pipette should be applied every two months to protect against fleas and every month to cover against ticks. Pipettes are applied to the skin on the back of the neck, following the directions with packaging.
Frontline eradicates fleas, ticks and biting lice on contact with the liquid, not via your pet’s blood.
Frontline should be applied by parting the fur on the back of the neck and squeezing the contents of one pipette directly to the skin.
See manufacturer's instructions for full details of dosage and administration. Frontline flea treatment should not be used in rabbits.
If your dog is marginally over the maximum weight of one of the pack sizes (e.g. 10.5kg) it is recommended that you purchase the larger size (Medium dog instead of Small dog) to ensure your animal is fully protected.
Frontline is safe to use for puppies over 8 weeks of age and also for pregnant and lactating bitches.
