Tralieve Chewable tablets for dogs are light brown round, flavoured tablets used to treat acute and chronic mild soft tissue and musculoskeletal pain. Each tablet is scored with a cross, to split the tablets into four, to enable accurate dosing.
The tablets are available as either 20mg or 60mg.
The active ingredient in Tralieve is Tramadol hydrochloride.
Special Instructions & Dose
The recommended dose is 2-4 mg tramadol hydrochloride per kg body weight every 8 hours or as needed based on the intensity of pain. However, all dose rates are determined by the prescribing veterinary surgeon.
Do not use in animals with epilepsy.
Tralieve is always sent on a signed for delivery service.
Mild sedation and drowsiness may commonly occur, especially when higher doses are given.
Nausea and vomiting have uncommonly been observed in dogs after administration of tramadol.
Tralieve is registered as a Schedule 3 Controlled Drug under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001, so prescriptions for Tralieve must fulfil all these regulations.
Prescriptions are only valid for 28 days, repeats are not allowed and if shown the prescription is invalid.
Prescriptions for Tralieve must be written by UK registered vets only.
The prescription can only be dispensed from once within 28 days of the signing date.
Only the original prescription can be dispensed from and must be posted to us.
