Inflacam Oral Suspension for dogs is a Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug used in the treatment of arthritis as well as a pain reliever in dogs.
Every 1ml of Inflacam contains 1.5g of Meloxicam, which works by promoting anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic and antipyretic effects. It also reduces the amount of leukocytes that penetrate inflamed tissue and also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis.
This NSAID is often used as a post operative pain relief, especially after soft tissue or orthopaedic surgery. The liquid should be given mixed into the food at meal time. It should never be given on an empty stomach. Inflacam oral suspension for dogs cannot be used in conjunction with any other NSAID's or steroids but it is recommended that you use a joint supplement containing glucosamine - such as Seraquin, Synoquin, Flexadin etc - alongside the treatment to help provide further support to the joints and the cartilage.
Do not use Inflacam oral suspension in pregnant or lactating animals and do not use in dogs less than 6 weeks of age.
If any side effects occur such as diarrhoea or vomiting, stop treatment immediately and seek advice from your veterinary surgeon.
People with known hypersensitivity to NSAIDs should avoid contact with the veterinary medicinal product. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or label to the physician.
