Canidryl 50mg tablets for dogs are a prescription medication Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) designed for the reduction of pain and inflammation caused by musculo-skeletal disorders and degenerative joint disease.
Each round tablet contains 50mg of Carprofen, which is an effective pain reliever and anti-inflammatory and is often used to manage post-operative pain. The tablets have a grilled meat flavour added to them to make them more appetising to the dog so you may find that they will take the tablet voluntarily.
The tablets are also scored so they can split easily to ensure that an accurate dose can be given. This is also to help aid administration if you need to hide them in their food.
Canidryl 50mg tablets cannot be given to dogs in conjunction with any steroids or any other NSAID's. It is recommended that you combine a NSAID with a joint supplement containing Glucosamine to provide the joints and the cartilage with further support.
Do not use Canidryl 50mg tablets in cats. Do not give to dogs suffering from hepatic, cardiac or renal disease. Stop treatment and consult your vet immediately if your dog starts to suffer from any vomiting, diarrhoea or becomes lethargic during treatment with these tablets. Do not give to pregnant or lactating bitches and do not use in dogs under 6 weeks of age. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to active substance or to any of the excipients.
