Canidryl 20mg tablets for dogs is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) designed for the reduction of pain and inflammation caused by musculo-skeletal disorders and degenerative joint disease. Each round tablet contains 20mg of Carprofen, which is an effective pain reliever and anti-inflammatory and is often used to manage post-operative pain. The tablets have a grilled meat flavour added to them to make them more appealing to the dog so you may find that they will take the tablet voluntarily. The tablets are also scored so they can easily be divided to ensure that an accurate dose is being given (or if it makes adminstering the tablets easier).
Canidryl 20mg tablets cannot be given to dogs in conjunction with any steroids or any other NSAID's. It is recommended that you combine a NSAID with a joint supplement containing Glucosamine to provide the joints and the cartilage with further support.
Do not use Canidryl 20mg tablets in cats. Do not give to dogs suffering from cardiac, renal or hepatic disease. If your dog displays any side effects such as lethargy, vomiting or diarrhoea, stop treatment immediately and consult your vet. Do not give to pregnant or lactating bitches and do not use in dogs under 6 weeks of age. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to active substance or to any of the excipients.
