Rimifin 20mg tablets for dogs is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) designed for the reduction of pain and inflammation caused by degenerative joint disease and musculo-skeletal disorders. Each round tablet contains 20mg of Carprofen, which has effective pain relieving and anti-inflammatory properties and is often used to manage post-operative pain. The tablets are also scored on one side so they can easily be divided should you need to give half a tablet (or if it makes adminstering the tablets easier). Rimifin 20mg tablets cannot be given to dogs in conjunction with any steroids or any other NSAID's. However, using a joint supplement containing Glucosamine along with a NSAID can provide the joints and the cartilage with extra support.
Do not use Rimifin 20mg tablets in cats. Do not use if your dog suffers from cardiac, renal or hepatic disease. Do not use in pregnant or lactationg bitches and do not give to dogs less than 6 weeks of age as safety in these animals has not yet been established. Should your dog start to display signs of diarrhoea, lethargy or vomiting, stop treatment immediately and seek advice from your vet before continuing with the medication.
