What is PREVICOX for Dogs?

PREVICOX is a chewable tablet for dogs intended to relieve the pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs as well as for relieving the pain and inflammation associated with soft-tissue, orthopaedic and dental surgery in dogs.

How Does PREVICOX Work?

The active ingredient in PREVICOX is Firocoxib which belongs to the family of substances known as anti-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Firocoxib works by inhibiting an enzyme called COX-2 (cyclooxygenase-2) that helps produce substances that are primarily responsible for inflammation and pain. This offers your dog relief from pain and inflammation associated with both chronic and acute pain to help improve their mobility and quality of life.

PREVICOX Chewable Tablets are a prescription medication and will only be sent once a valid prescription is received. If you would like advice on how to send your pet’s prescription to us, please read our prescriptions information page.

As PREVICOX is a prescription medication, we are only able to dispense the dosage and amount of tablets stated on your pet’s prescription. To avoid any delays in your order, please ensure you choose the correct dosage and amount of tablets as prescribed by your vet.
