Please note this product requires a written prescription.

Previcox 227mg tablets for dogs are a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) mainly used in the long-term treatment of osteoarthritis in dogs. Previcox is used to relieve the pain and inflammation associated with arthritis.

Previcox can also be used for the relief of post-operative pain and inflammation associated with soft-tissue, orthopaedic and dental surgery. Previcox can help to make your dog feel more comfortable, improve their mobility and activity levels, and slow the progression of arthritis.

Previcox 227mg is usually used in medium and large dogs weighing over 15kgs. Previcox 227mg tablets contain 227mg of the active ingredient Firocoxib. The tablets are chewable, a tan-brown colour, round and engraved. The tablets are usually easy to give as they are designed to be tasty. They can often be given as a treat as they are enhanced with caramel and smoke flavourings to ensure that your dog is more likely to like the flavour.

Previcox tablets should be given with or after food.

Previcox is a good alternative to other NSAIDs (such as Metacam, Meloxidyl or Rimadyl) if your dog has shown side-effects to these medications.

Ideally, Previcox should be used alongside a Joint Supplement that contains glucosamine to further help support the joints and the cartilage. We have a wide range of Joint Supplements available in the ‘Joint Supplement’ section of our website.

Previcox 57mg tablets are also available for smaller dogs.

"A big saving compared with the vets.."

"In my dealings with Pet Prescription I have never experienced any difficulties whatsoever and delivery has always been on or ahead of promised date.

Pricing is competitive and savings on prescription drugs are really good.

The only downside is the ever increasing prescription charges being made by the veterinary practises which all to frequently limit the savings made. In my own experience charges have increased per item from £7 t0 £12 over a period of eighteen months."
