The Panacur Paste Syringe for Cats and Dogs is a broad spectrum worming treatment designed to treat gastro-intestinal roundworms and tapeworms.
Effective for use in cats & smaller breed dogs, as well as puppies and kittens, the paste is made from fenbendazole which also treats lungworm within dogs and cats as well as protozoa within puppies.
Pregnant bitches can be treated with the paste to reduce prenatal infections of Toxocara canis and the transfer of roundworms via the milk to the puppies
Within adult dogs and cats, each 5g Panacur Paste syringe is sufficient to dose up to 9kg bodyweight as a single dose. Within puppies and kittens cach 5g syringe is sufficient to dose up to 6 kg bodyweight for 3 consecutive days.
Panacur Oral Paste should be administered orally by squeezing the paste from the syringe onto the back of the tongue after feeding.
Adult Cats and Dogs: For a single dose, administer 2 syringe graduations per 1 kg of bodyweight.
For the control of lungworm in dogs, administer 1 syringe graduation per 1kg bodyweight daily for 7 consecutive days
Puppies and kittens under 6 months of age: Administer 1 syringe graduation per 1 kg bodyweight daily for 3 consecutive days.
Pregnant bitches: Owing to the reduced dose rate for treatment of pregnant bitches, which can not accurately be attained when using the Panacur Oral Paste 5g syringe, it is recommended that alternative formulations of fenbendazole be used.
Pregnant queens: Pregnant queens can be safely treated with Panacur Oral Paste but only require a single treatment at the routine adult dose rate. Orally administer 2 syringe graduations per 1 kg bodyweight as a single dose.
It is available in
- Single 5g syringe or packs of 10 x 5g syringes.
Adult Cats and Dogs Dosage: Panacur paste is to be administered orally. 2 syringe graduations will treat 1kg in bodyweight in Dogs. Each syringe will dose a 9kg animal as a single dose. For cats, administer 1 syringe graduation per 1kg bodyweight for 3 days. For the control of lungworm in dogs, administer 1 syringe graduation per 1kg bodyweight daily for 7 consecutive days.
If Panacur paste is used to treat kittens or puppies, a smaller dose should be given every day for 3 days, and a single syringe will fully treat kittens or puppies to a total bodyweight of 6kg. (eg 6 kittens weighing 1kg each). Puppies and kittens should be treated at 2 weeks of age, then 5 weeks, then 8 weeks and then 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, the dose can then be reduced.
It is advised to treat dogs or cats with Panacur 2-4 times per year.
Wash hands after use.
