What is Onsior?

Onsior for dogs is an anti-inflammatory medication meant for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with chronic osteoarthritis as well as pain and inflammation caused by soft tissue surgery in dogs. One tablet a day has been shown to reduce pain and improve mobility.

Please note, as Onsior is a prescription medication, we are only able to dispatch the amount of tablets and the dosage stated on your prescription, so be sure to order the correct product in the correct amount to avoid any delays in your order.

How Does Onsior Work?

The active ingredient in Onsior for dogs is robenacoxib, meaning it belongs to a class of medications known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This ingredient blocks an enzyme called cyclooxygenase 2 which is involved in the production of prostaglandins which are involved in pain and inflammation. By blocking the production of this substance, Onsior is able to reduce the pain and inflammation caused by musculoskeletal disorders, surgery or osteoarthritis.

Onsior for dogs is a prescription medication and will only be sent once a valid prescription is received. If you would like advice on how to send your pet’s prescription to us, please read our prescriptions information page.
