Zylkene 75mg is a natural supplement that is derived from milk proteins casein which has been clinically proven to help your cat or dog cope in times of change (e.g. moving house, new pet or new baby being introduced to the home etc) or stress (e.g. a stay at a cattery/kennels, a long journey or fireworks etc).
The active ingredient in Zylkene 75mg is a bioactive decapeptide called A-Casozepine which has the ability to temporarily bind certain receptors in the brain to encourage a sense of calmness.
Zylkene 75mg capsules for dogs and cats are preservative free, hypoallergenic and lactose free.
Zylkene 75mg capsules are safe to be given alongside other medications and treatments.

Special Instructions
Dose rate
Up to 5kg of bodyweight – Give 1 capsule a day
Between 5-10kg bodyweight - Give 2 capsules a day
For short term stress (e.g. travelling) give Zylkene 24 hours before the journey and give a second dose 1 hour before travelling.
For moderate length stress (e.g. kenneling, fireworks) give the Zylkene one or two days before the anticipated stressful situation & continue throughout the duration of the stress.
Zylkene can help manage long term stress. The initial period of use should be 1 - 2 months, and can be repeated as required. You do not have to wean off Zylkene.
Zylkene 75mg is highly palatable and easy to administer. You can open the capsule and mix the powder with their food. The capsule can also be given whole either on its own or wrapped up in a small piece of food or treat.
