Strengthens, builds, protects. Cosequin Equine is the leading oral chondroprotective agent for horses. Designed to be used as a nutritional aid in the management of degenerative joint disease in the horse.
Cosequin Equine contains a unique formulation of glucosamine hydrochloride (FCHG49®), chondroitin sulphate (TRH122®), manganese sulphate and Vitamin E.
Special Instructions
Cosequin is initially given at a ‘loading’ rate for 2-6 weeks to replenish the depleted stores of the building blocks necessary to produce cartilage. At the end of this time, the amount of Cosequin can usually be reduced by half to a maintenance level based on the horse’s demeanour. Reduction in the amount of Cosequin given should be gradual; one scoop at a time, and the amount should not be reduced more than once per week.
Cosequin Equine powder is not suitable for dogs and cats as the optimal ratio of glucosamine to chondroitin is different for these species.
