Cortaflex Equine is a joint supplement designed to aid and help maintain healthy joints in horses and ponies. Cortaflex Equine is fortified with Hyaluronic Acid, which is one of the main components of synovial fluid. Synovial fluid is essential as it provides cartilage with nutrients and joints with lubrication. Cortaflex Equine contains Chondroitin which attaches itself to collagen for tensile strength and control of water content. Chondroitin also draws fluid to the cartilage molecules which is vital as it helps to nourish and lubricate joints, as well as absorbing shock. Cortaflex Equine also contains Glucosamine. Glucosamine is an amino sugar that creates and stimulates new cartilage growth. It also supports the release of Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which are made from glucose by the cartilage cells.
Cortaflex Equine is different to all other joint supplements for horses because it contains smaller molecules of all three of the main ingredients. This is because smaller molecules can be absorbed by the body much quicker meaning they can take effect much sooner.
