Apoquel 3.6mg tablets are used in the treatment of allergic dermatitis (skin allergies) in dogs. Apoquel 3.6mg tablets contain 3.6mg of the active ingredient oclacitinib which helps to control allergic dermatitis and improves any pruritis (itching), skin redness and irritation, and hair loss associated with the skin disease caused by fleas, contact or food allergies, and many other allergies.
Apoquel 3.6mg tablets help to reduce the itch-scratch cycle associated with skin disease, improving your dog’s skin and making them feel much more comfortable. They start to work rapidly, so in many cases you should see an improvement in your dog’s clinical signs within 1-2 days. Apoquel may be used short-term (for 10-14 days) or long-term to control pruritis and itching.
Apoquel tablets are small and easy to give; they can be given with or without food.
Side effects may include diarrhoea and vomiting. Stop medication and contact your vet if this occurs.
Apoquel tablets can be used alongside some other medications to help improve the skin, such as shampoos and piriton.
Do not use in dogs less than 12 months of age or under 3kg bodyweight.
